Being sunny throughout the year, Fuerteventura is the closest Canary Island to the African coast and is the second largest after Tenerife. What makes Fuerteventura an ideal holiday location is that the weather conditions are very pleasant and mild in all seasons.

Today, tourism is one of the main sources of national income with figures increasing steadily over the past 10 years, although initially the culture of the island was based in farming, craftwork and fishing. Temperatures rarely fall below 18ºc in the winter and the north-easterly winds blowing during summer months prevent humidity and dumbness.
